Spring in Gruszów has a special flavour this year. Following a successful launch in 2025, when the historic walls of the palace resounded with sound and words, we are returning with renewed vigour. As early as April, this intimate town near Świdnica will once again become a haven for all those who seek more than mere entertainment in the arts.
A new chapter in the history of the residence
Gruszów Palace is no longer just another entry on the Lower Silesia accommodation map. Thanks to the passion of its owner, the Wrocław-based actress Kinga Zabokrzycka, the venue has taken on a new role – today it serves as a concert and theatre venue.
Gruszów Palace is a space where elegant relaxation and delicious breakfasts made from local produce meet high culture. From April, the palace reopens its doors after the winter break, inviting guests into a world where time passes more slowly and every evening can become an unforgettable experience.

Where history meets emotion
We believe that historic architecture is more than just dead stones – it is a resonator for emotions. Gruszów Palace proves that historic interiors are the perfect backdrop for contemporary creativity. Here, the boundary between audience and stage becomes blurred. The rustling of old trees outside the window, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and direct contact with the artist create an atmosphere that is hard to find in large cultural institutions. This place offers a luxury that is rare today: a moment of genuine reflection and artistic delight in complete tranquillity.
Season 2026: What lies ahead?
This year, the ‘Gruszów Palace? Culturally!’ programme is set to become even more diverse. Our calendar will be filled not only with piano recitals, but also with literary events, historical lectures and moving performances.

Women from Lower Silesia who did good deeds – Lecture – Dr Karolina Rybicka, 16 May 2026 at 5.00 pm

In these turbulent and unsettled times, we have chosen to focus on goodness. That is why Dr Karolina Rybicka will present the biographies of women from Lower Silesia who have done good. Dr Karolina Rybicka is an archivist, historian and populariser of the history of Lower Silesia, affiliated with the National Museum in Wrocław, where she heads the Departmental Archives. A graduate and PhD holder from the University of Wrocław, she specialises in regional history, microhistory and the history of copper mining. She is the author of several books and over a dozen academic articles, and is known to the wider public as the creator of the ‘Archival Lower Silesia’ project, through which she presents forgotten places, archival photographs and remarkable women’s biographies connected with the region.
“Szafran on Love” – Justyna Szafran & Rafał Karasiewicz, 29 May 2026, 7.00 pm

“Saffron of Love” is a musical story, full of confessions and passionate experiences, of a woman who is worldly-wise yet only appears gentle. During the concert, the artist shifts between moods, engages in a lively dialogue with the audience, moving them to tears and making them laugh. The programme will feature emotionally charged songs from Edith Piaf’s repertoire, tangos by Astor Piazzolla, and pieces written especially for Justyna by Leszek Możdżer and Jerzy Satanowski. The singer is accompanied by the outstanding pianist Rafał Karasiewicz.
